Outil de Gestion du Temps - Le POA

In this video, I'm sharing a time management tool I created ten years ago and have used daily ever since to manage my life. Link to our #training courses: https://hervecoudiere.fr/formations/ Applying this simple time management tool can change your life. Sharing it for years has inspired many others! Before, I would start my day with a long list of things to do. Then I would be constantly interrupted by numerous emergencies. Finally, when I left in the evening, I hadn't accomplished the #work I wanted and I wondered what I had done with my day. It's to put an end to this situation that I created the POA (Planning, Activity, and Planning). It's a #time #management tool that I use every morning to define and focus on three aspects of my day. -- VIDEO SCRIPT Hello, in this video, I'm going to talk to you about a tool I created and use daily to #manage my life. I realized that some days I would start the day intending to do a specific activity, but I would be disrupted by numerous interruptions or urgent matters. By the end of the day, I hadn't actually accomplished the work I had planned to do, and I would wonder what I had actually done with my day. I don't know if this happens to you, but people who attend time management training tell me it's like this almost every day. At this pace, we're not efficient, we're not satisfied with ourselves, and we risk missing important deadlines. It's to put an end to this situation that I created the POA (Planning, Activity, and Implementation). This is a tool I use every morning to define and focus on three aspects of my day: 1) One priority (and only one, because the common pitfall is having too many priorities!). The priority is the activity on which I will expend the most of my energy for the day. It's the task I will start as soon as possible in the morning and in which I will give it my all. From experience, on average, the priority takes two hours, and I complete it between 9 and 11 a.m. That means that by 11 a.m., my priority for the day is done! This relaxes me and allows me to then focus on the day's urgent tasks. It's important to understand that dedicating two hours of your day to addressing the priority can be life-changing. Because all at once, you're doing what's important. 2) One goal. A small goal. Something simple, easy to do, and entirely up to you. Something you're sure to succeed at. It could be posting a letter, changing a lightbulb, filling out a form, etc. Think about the annoyances you deal with every day: the pebble in your shoe, the flickering fluorescent light, the letter you've been carrying around in your bag for three weeks. Every day, you accomplish one small, simple goal. At least that's done. It gives you satisfaction, and imagine if you tackle one small annoyance a day—that's 200 fewer annoyances by the end of the year. Interesting, isn't it? 3) 1 #fun activity. After deciding where you're going to put your energy, what you're sure to accomplish, it's now a matter of seeing what you're going to do each day for yourself, something you'll enjoy doing. At first, you might be tempted to choose an activity you do in the evening after work: meeting up with your partner, having dinner with friends, playing sports, or pursuing your passion. I encourage you to look for what you do or can do at work that you enjoy. To reconnect with yourself. And if you don't find anything, consider how you can organize your day or how you can approach your activities to find enjoyment in them. #POA is a priority, a small goal, and one enjoyable activity per day. Do it every morning while thinking about your day. It takes three minutes, and this tool has changed the lives of many people. I encourage you to try it. -- HERVE COUDIERE Positive coach, speaker, trainer, author, and management consultant since 1999. I run Hommes & Coopération.
