Cassam Wahedally: « Je soutiendrai toujours Paul Bérenger »

"I joined the MMM in 1969 when Paul Bérenger was very young. Together with other activists, including the late Fareed Muttur and Azor Adelaide, we led a union struggle to demand workers' rights. We supported the Vacoas Transport workers who went on strike at that time," emphasizes Cassam Wahedally. He speaks with nostalgia of Fareed Muttur and Azor Adelaide, who died in distressing circumstances. Cassam Wahedally supported the MMM in its good times and bad. He has boundless admiration for Paul Bérenger, who, according to him, led a sincere fight for the people and also gave workers their dignity. He adds that he will support the leader of the Mauves as long as he is sincere in his fight.
