The Vintage Sony HST-49A Repair Continues! Part 3 - Tape Test & Tuner Fix.

Repairs continue on the lovely vintage HST-49A stereo by Sony. The tape deck works, and I diagnose the fault with the tuner. This little project is taking far longer than expected, but I think it'll be a nice little stereo when its fully done This HST49A is not Sony's best work. In fact compared to other Sony units of this time period, this one is the bottom of the pile, But as its an all in one unit (tuner, amp and cassette), I guess it can be let off some of its crappiness. Its still probably way better than some of the cheap plastic stereos that's available these days.
