Where their previous album Hard leaned into experimentation, Atmos is described by SM as the most SHINee-sounding record they have made in years, and across its six tracks that identity comes through clearly. The title track is an electronic house number built around glitchy synths and pulsing basslines, and the rest of the album moves through funk-pop, R&B, and sleek contemporary pop without losing the thread that makes this group so distinctive.
