In my opinion, The Lego Movie is the Best Animated Movie of 2014, and in this video, I break it down to explain why. The Lego Movie, directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, starts with an idea and plot that shouldn't be taken too seriously, as it's expected to be pure SpongeBob-style children's entertainment with a clichéd plot and characters, all in a strange soup of cameos with the sole purpose of boosting Lego sales… however, to a very pleasant surprise, they end up structuring a brilliant film that uses every possible connection to the Lego concept in a very creative way, using resources that until now seemed to no longer work in the industry; once again, the plot twists are brilliant.
