VSA Graduates: Futures Empowered — Yi Fan Chu: Stanford-Bound Neuroscientist
Meet Yi Fan, a Class of 2026 graduate heading to Stanford University. In the premiere episode of this year's "VSA Graduates: Futures Empowered" series, we look into how Yi Fan utilized her time at VSA to push the boundaries of medical research and lead with a deep passion for service. Through the VSA Research program, Yi Fan published a paper investigating the complex pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s Disease. However, her drive to empower others extends far beyond the lab. A dedicated Taekwondo athlete, she founded the VSA Taekwondo Club to coach her peers. Furthermore, through the VSA SPARC program, she designed and hosted a transformative summer program for neurodivergent students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
