Transfer Case & differential oil change guide | Toyota Hilux KUN26 05-15 (N70) - Oils & Torque Specs

2005-2015 Toyota Hilux transfer, front and rear diff oil change guide, this is also the same for earlier/later Hilux models and other 4wds. As with all fill/level plug designed compartments always open the filler plug first to be sure it does loosen to avoid having oil drained and no way to fill it! This is a SR hilux so we are changing oil for the rear LSD, a non-A.D.D front differential and the transfer case. For this we need: LSD gear oil 80W-90 (3.35l) for the rear diff/axle GL5 gear oil 75W-90 (1l) for the transfer GL5 gear oil 75W-90 (1.45) for the front diff/axle If you are also doing the manual transmission and additional 2.2l of the 75W-90 is required GL5 specs For those with A.D.D front axle they require 1.65l Be sure to replace the sealing washers of the plugs The front axle plugs from OEM aren't great as a 10mm in hex, I bought replacements as soon as I saw their condition, check the condition of these plugs as the front filler plug is known for rounding out.
