CONCILIO DE NICEA Evitó la Caida del Imperio Romano
#CouncilofIcea #Catholic #EnigmaticHistoryRevealed #Constantine Around this time, the Roman Empire was suffering a series of difficulties and transformations resulting from its own internal crisis, the slave-based mode of production, the spread of the colonate and its inevitable decline, as well as the rampant corruption in the powerful army, sectarianism, and violent struggles among Christians. Barbarian invasions, revolts, and the Great Pilgrimage, among many other factors, contributed to the rapid degradation of the empire. And in the midst of this disorder, this crumbling of the empire's foundations, the figure of Constantine the Great emerged. In an attempt to halt the empire's collapse, he convened a Council as a desperate measure to preserve its unity. The origin of the Catholic Church was this first summit meeting held in 325 AD in Isa, in present-day Turkey. Here, the foundation of the Catholic Church was laid. It was the first ecumenical council of Christendom, bringing together more than 300 bishops to debate and decide theological and organizational matters that constituted the foundational basis of the Catholic Church as we know it today.
