NPR The War of the Worlds 50th Anniversary - 1988
This is an updated version of National Public Radio's The War of the Worlds, for the 50th Anniversary of the original 1938 radio drama by Orson Welles. NPR used Howard Koch's classic script that was written for the Mercury Theater on the Air for their own version. The cast starred Jason Robards, Steve Allen, and former CBS anchorman, Douglas Edwards. It aired on October 31st, 1988.
