Olive farming in Morocco is considered a relatively profitable agricultural sector, with the country ranking as a major global producer and exporter of olive oil, particularly due to its large land area dedicated to olive groves and the growing demand for high-quality Moroccan olive oil, making it a significant source of income for rural communities; however, profitability can vary depending on factors like market fluctuations, production techniques, and access to modern processing facilities. In this video, we visited an Olive 🫒 farmer who owns about 140 hectares of different varieties of olive farm strictly cultivated under drip fertigation method. Morocco is also heavily impacted by drought hence almost every commercial farm has solar panels and boreholes to support growing crops .
