Build Your Own Space Saving Fold Down Workbench

In this video, I show you the steps I took to make a fold-down workbench for my garage. It's a very handy design for smaller garage spaces. The fold-down workbench allows me to prop the table up when I want to work on projects, and tuck the workbench back down and out the way when I'm needing the free up the space for parking vehicles. There are some optional steps in this video that I took to jazz up the project a bit. These include adding in some wood braces to support the load-bearing brackets for the workbench, along with sanding, staining, and sealing the surface of the workbench. All of the materials and tools that were used for those optional steps are marked with an asterisk in the video. My hope is that you will use this video to gather some ideas for you own project, and then tweak and customize the design so that it suits your needs.
