Quem são os judeus de extrema-direita no Brasil? Michel Gherman

The think tank República do Amanhã invited Michel Gherman, a political scientist, to discuss the topic "Who are the far-right Jews in Brazil?". Michel Gherman holds a degree in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1997), a master's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2007), and a doctorate in Social History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2014). Currently, he is a research fellow at The Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and Zionism, a substitute professor in the Department of History at the Federal Fluminense University, in the area of ​​Contemporary History. In addition, Michel Gherman is the research coordinator of the NIEJ (Interdisciplinary Center for Jewish Studies) at the Institute of History of UFRJ and a visiting researcher at the Center for Jewish Studies at USP and an academic collaborator of the Brazil-Israel Institute. Michel Gherman has experience in the field of History, with an emphasis on Contemporary History, working mainly on the following themes: Holocaust Studies, Studies on Israeli Society, the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict, the Middle East, Jewish Studies, Brazilian Judaism, Zionism, and Memory Studies. The virtual meeting, organized on September 4, 2021, was moderated by journalist Eugênio Bucci (USP).
