Реванш! Выжимаем МАКСИМУМ перфа из Userver: C++ против Rust
SECOND STREAM OF THE COURSE HERE: https://forms.gle/LxpkJGHM5FciaeJE6 Telegram channel: https://t.me/mrteamlead Support the channel's development: https://boosty.to/mrteamlead Basic Course (Rust, C, Assembler): If you want to learn how to write fast code and understand operating systems at a deep level, sign up for the second stream of my course! https://forms.gle/LxpkJGHM5FciaeJE6 In the previous video, Rust (Axum) outperformed Yandex's framework (userver) by almost 10x. I couldn't let this go, so I spent the entire weekend digging through the positive code to find the reason for this gap. In this issue, we're doing some deep debugging: Userver Optimization: I disabled unnecessary middleware and compression to ensure a fair byte-for-byte comparison. Pipelining Issue: I figured out why the standard Postgres driver in userver was losing to tokio-postgres and wrote my own caroutine dispatcher for efficient query pipelining. Zero-cost in C++: I applied years of experience developing with Pros to squeeze out maximum performance without unnecessary allocations. What's the bottom line? Did C++ optimizations bring userver closer to Axum's results? We'll be running new benchmarks: JSON Hello World: A pure throughput test. DB Queries (Orders): Testing database performance on a single connection using pipelines. The results were unexpected. Find out which language and framework ultimately takes the speed crown in this showdown! Timestamps: 00:00 — Why was Rust 10x faster? 01:12 — Removing unnecessary stuff: header and middleware optimization. 02:08 — How pipelines work in Axum and userver. 03:40 — Custom caroutine dispatcher in C++. 07:01 — Björn Stroustrup's quote and "god-level" architecture. 08:49 — Testing JSON: 450k RPS on Rust vs. C++. 13:51 — The decisive test: database. Who won? Subscribe to the channel, they talk about a real database here! #cpp #rust #userver #axum #backend #programming #benchmarks #yandex #mrteamlead
