It is located very close to the previous Senjojiki Rock. この三段壁は断崖絶壁の景勝地であり、前回の千畳敷と違い柱状節理のゴツゴツした岩場が特徴。真下には洞窟があり、その昔、12世紀末の源平合戦の活躍で知られる熊野水軍の船の隠し場所であったと伝えられており、現在はエレベーターで下りて観覧できる観光名所となっております。 This three-tiered wall is a scenic spot on a precipitous cliff, and unlike the previous Senjojiki Rock, it features a rugged rocky area with columnar joints. There is a cave just below, and it is said that it used to be a hiding place for the Kumano Navy's ship, which was known for its success in the Genpei War at the end of the 12th century. 三段壁は断崖絶壁であるがゆえに年間平均10人前後の投身自殺者を出す「自殺の名所」という負の側面もあり、自殺者の幽霊も出るという噂の心霊スポットでもあるとされています。 景勝地内には自殺を諌める文言や「いのちの電話」の連絡先などが書かれた看板が所々設置されています。 関連するひとつのエピソードとして、とあるカップルが実際は義理の兄妹でお互いを好きになるものの恋が実らない事を悲観して来世にて一緒になる事を誓い、岩に口紅で遺書を書き残して心中し、その友人がやがて消えてしまう遺書を惜しみ文字を彫り残したのが、現在「口紅の碑」として逆に近年若いカップルの恋愛成就の映えスポットとなり「恋人の聖地」として認定され人気が出ているようです。 Since the Sandanbeki Rock Cliff is a precipitous cliff, it has the negative side of being a "suicide spot" that causes an average of about 10 suicides a year, and is said to be a rumored psychic spot where ghosts of suicides also appear.
