Exploring Hunza: Hidden Viewpoint, Passu Cones Autumn, Batura Glacier, Rainbow Bridge, KKH

An unforgettable adventure in Hunza Valley, Pakistan – one of the most breathtaking places on earth. This episode of my 100-day journey captures the magical blend of nature, culture, and adventure in the heart of Gilgit-Baltistan. We start the day from Sost city and then in Khyber (Khai Bar) village, where autumn (khizan) paints the orchards golden. I witness locals harvesting apples – a father picking fruit while his daughters collect them in baskets. It’s a rare glimpse into the everyday beauty of life in Hunza. 🍎🍂 Along the way, I encounter local musicians beating drums and singing traditional songs, bringing the soulful culture of Hunza alive. 🥁🎶 The journey continues towards the famous Rainbow Suspension Bridge near Passu, with the stunning Passu Cones rising dramatically in the background. I capture this view from unique angles, even crossing rocky terrain to get close to the Hunza river for the perfect shot. 🌉🏔 Next stop is the mighty Batura Glacier, the fourth largest glacier in Pakistan. Here, I share stories of glaciers in the Karakoram, Himalayas and Hindukush ranges and reveal an old photo of a beautiful lake that once existed but was sadly lost due to floods. ❄️📸 Instead of sticking to the usual viewpoints, I hike to a new hidden spot above Passu village, where my drone captures breathtaking shots of the Hunza River, Passu Cones, Karakoram Highway, and the surrounding valleys. 🚁 As evening falls, I create a magical time-lapse of the Karakoram Highway, where the headlights of passing cars turn into glowing trails beneath the twilight sky, with the Passu Cones in the background. 🌌✨ Finally, I find a traditional-style hotel in Hussaini village, enjoy a delicious dinner, and end the day under the serene mountain night.
