Mato Grosso do Sul se consolida na silvicultura - Floresta S.A. - EP. 9

Mato Grosso do Sul is one of the largest eucalyptus producers in Brazil. The state has 1.2 million hectares of planted forests, ranking second in the country, behind Minas Gerais. In 2008, Sebrae (Brazilian Agricultural Research Institute) and the Mato Grosso do Sul Association of Producers and Consumers of Planted Forests (Reflore-MS) created the State Forest Plan, aiming to relieve producers of environmental licensing fees and encourage the establishment of pulp and paper industries.
