Lathe Restoration

This is my first lathe purchase, so both learning how to use it, as well as take it apart. This lathe dates to around 1963, based on the serial number, before I started the project I looked over it, there were no oil leaks, it cut accurately so I did not have to amend any major components. The suds pump needed to be made operational and it was also changed from 3 phase to single-phase using a VFD. It was a big learning curve overall, but worth the effort. Note: I have purchased another lathe that I intend to restore, if you say in the comments what colour you would like it will likely paint it that colour based on the most popular colour choice. To restore this lathe: Used paraffin and Evapo-Rust to do the bulk of the cleaning No metal-to-metal surfaces were painted Etch primer was used over the lathe and light sanding. Etch primer with just 5-15 minutes between coats The undercoat was sprayed and waited 24 hours, light rub down with 240 sandpaper and tack cloth then another coat 3 top coats applied, 15 mins between each. If I had waited more than 15 minutes, I would have had to delay by 24 hrs between coats.
