In Christ we are redeemed.

Today, we are going to talk about another state that the scripture says we have received, and that state is “that in Christ Jesus we have been redeemed”. And the means for our redemption is His blood that he shed for us. This redemption comes with the forgiveness of our sins. This fact is important because when the enemy stirs up the dust of guilt we need to remind him that our sins have been forgiven. We must emphasize a few valuable truths. • Although we are called to, Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, if you observe we already have salvation, no person can save themselves except through faith in Christ Jesus. • Secondly, there are no seven steps to redemption, it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ. • Thirdly, no person or entity or act can offer redemption except through Jesus Christ, these realities are important just because there may be someone who is doing any of these things my counsel is stop and come to Jesus Christ. Some people may ask themselves, how can I be redeemed when I still feel the broken because of my sins, when I still see the signs of my past self-caught in sins. Some may say I feel the weight of my sins all day long, and it takes my confidence away as someone who is redeemed. First, I would like to say that anyone here who feels that weight of their past sinful brokenness is not alone and it is not a new thing to feel it but my counsel is don’t remain in the past your sins have been washed away. Even the Apostle Paul felt the same way so that is to say that you are not alone.
