Stock Gypsy vs Monster Gypsy | Offroad with Hilux in Mullanpur Chandigarh | Aaruks

Every off-road trip teaches you something new, and this one was all about comparing capability, driver skill, and modifications. In this video, we headed once again to the famous Mullanpur Off-Road Track near New Chandigarh, one of the best locations in North India to test the true potential of 4x4 vehicles. With its combination of steep climbs, technical sections, loose sand, deep ruts, and natural obstacles, Mullanpur offers the perfect playground for off-road enthusiasts. Our convoy included an exciting lineup of vehicles: Maruti Gypsy King (Stock) Extremely Modified Monster Gypsy Toyota Hilux Mahindra Thar Along with several other capable 4x4s. The objective wasn't just to enjoy the trails—it was to put every vehicle through the same obstacles and compare how they performed in real off-road conditions. Throughout the day, we attempted multiple technical hill climbs, off-camber sections, loose sandy patches, rocky trails, and challenging natural obstacles. Every vehicle approached the terrain differently, giving us a great opportunity to understand the strengths and limitations of both stock and modified setups. One of the biggest highlights of the day was watching the Stock Maruti Gypsy and the extremely modified Monster Gypsy tackle the same obstacles. The modified Gypsy, equipped with heavy-duty suspension, larger tyres, and purpose-built off-road upgrades, made many sections look effortless. Its articulation and ground clearance allowed it to crawl over terrain that would challenge most vehicles. On the other hand, the stock Gypsy proved why it has earned legendary status among Indian off-roaders. Despite having far fewer modifications, it continued to surprise everyone with its lightweight design, simple mechanical setup, and impressive capability in the hands of an experienced driver. The Toyota Hilux and Mahindra Thar also demonstrated why they are among the most popular off-road vehicles in India today, confidently tackling the difficult sections while showcasing their own unique strengths. Beyond the vehicles, the best part of the day was the camaraderie. Off-roading is never just about reaching the top of a climb—it's about helping each other, learning from every obstacle, sharing experiences, and enjoying the outdoors with fellow enthusiasts. By the end of the day, we had completed numerous climbs, tested different driving techniques, learned valuable lessons about vehicle setup and recovery, and most importantly, had an unforgettable time doing what we love.
