Blow to U.S. Prosecutors as Jury DEADLOCKS and MISTRIAL declared in Palisades Fire Arson Case

In a blow to federal prosecutors, a judge has declared a mistrial in the case against Jonathan Rinderknecht, the former Uber driver accused of setting a fire that eventually reignited into the deadly and destructive Palisades Fire. The ruling came after jurors deadlocked following just 13 hours of deliberations. Rinderknecht will remain in custody as a re-trial is set for October, prosecutors confident that they will obtain guilty verdicts on all the charged counts, despite this initial outcome.
