When the conlict between the Habsburg brothers Emperor Charles V and Archduke Ferdinand, because of their dissents, comes to head, they receive the news that Sultan Suleiman's army is approaching Vienna. They go together to defend the Empire, and return with victory after Suleiman's retreat. Charles makes his brother king of the Romans and thus his successor in the Empire, while he appoints their sister Mary as the new Governor of the Netherlands. s01e11 'Carlos, Rey Emperador' is a Spanish TV series about the life of Charles of Habsburg, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain, the most powerful man in his time.
