#3 of a series of videos nominated for a 2014 Heritage Toronto Award. A video slide show of archival photographs depicting Leaside, Ontario from 1910 - 1929. The Canadian Northern Railway planned and incorporated the Town of Leaside in 1913. World War One had a major influence on the area with a military training site and munitions factory. The post war years brought industrial and infrastructure growth. Influencial industries included Canada Wire and Cable, and Durant Motors. Cultural highlights were the Toronto Flying Club and Thorncliffe Racetrack.
