Our beloved Jesus was like a trampled rose. The Lamb of God was trampled by our sins; humiliated, slapped, mocked, scourged, nailed to the hard wood of the cross like a vile criminal. The beatings inflicted on Him, His suffering and His sacrifice, however, only caused a sweet-smelling fragrance to emanate from Him. Our desire is that, by listening to these songs, you may sense the fragrance of the crucified Christ, the perfume of the risen Christ, the power of the saving Christ.
