Verdant Complex | 2-Hour Brutalist Ambience

The Fernwood Plaza was conceived in the late 1990s as a flagship mixed-use development, blending office space, leisure facilities, and landscaped courtyards under one coherent identity. Promotional materials spoke of a “new urban ecosystem,” where glass, steel, and controlled greenery would merge into a model for 21st-century living and work. Construction progressed unevenly. A portion of the complex opened in 2002, yet the project never achieved full occupancy. Tenants came and went. The glossy renderings of communal gardens and advanced workspaces gave way to empty corridors, dimly lit lobbies, and courtyards overrun with neglected plantings. Today, the Plaza remains partially active. A few offices still operate, and maintenance crews tend to the essentials, but much of the site exists in a liminal state - neither alive with activity nor truly abandoned. What was once marketed as the future of urban integration now lingers as a half-remembered experiment in corporate architecture. This scene was created using 3D software, no generative AI was used. 🎧 Love the ambience? Take it with you. Download the audio from this video and keep it forever.
