So Much More Christmas Wrapping: 70 Years of TV Times (& Co.)
The TV Times was once one of the most important TV magazines in the country. And yet its 70th birthday this year passed almost unnoticed. Robbed of its identity by deregulation and increasingly redundant in the face of streaming and the decline of linear television, it still has more history and significance than What's On TV could dream of, if it had the imagination. In this epic undertaking, not only are all seventy Christmas issues collated, but more than a hundred others from regional magazines and Christmas specials, featuring stars ranging from Benny Hill, Des O'Connor and (repeatedly) Harry Secombe to Dickie Henderson, Gordon Rollings and Huw Ceredig. Don't feel any obligation to watch it all at once.
