Good evening! This is Maki Suiren! The Japanese Alphabet Journey, "O" Edition! I went to Okutama, Tokyo! (I went with my mom and brother!) My first ever fishing experience in Okutama!! I went trout fishing! It wasn't a fishing pond, but a style where they release the fish into the river, so I think it was a good level of difficulty while still feeling close to nature! The bait, rod, and BBQ equipment shown in the video were purchased at the reception! I brought my own work gloves, rice balls, marshmallows, and a chair, I think? As for fishing... Even as a complete beginner, I managed to catch 6 fish (3 trout)! That's what I want to say! (lol) Also, since I'm terrified of bugs, I tried using salmon roe as bait! (Apparently, insects are easier to catch fish with.) Although it's not really visible in the video, I lost a lot of fish when reeling them in... So, the number I caught might be less than my mom and brother, but I wasn't bored at all, and the sense of satisfaction was immense! I've always been interested in fishing, but I'm not good with insects, and I can't clean fish... I had set the bar pretty high for myself for various reasons...
