Let he who has never judged a book by its cover cast the first stone. Even unconsciously, the cover influences our perception of a book and can be a fundamental piece when choosing our next read. After all, it offers a glimpse of the plot within its pages. In Brazil, it was during the 20th century that the first generation of designers and illustrators emerged, and with them, the tradition of considering the entire graphic field of a cover, articulating illustrations, typography, colors, and spacing to create the desired result: impactful. Therefore, the process of creating a cover is often lengthy, as it goes through several stages before reaching the final version.
