There are two ways to get to Kiholo Bay. The way most people go is hiking down a dirt road, that kind of zig zags, till it gets to the coast. It’s quite a long hike. Or you can park on the side of the road and hike through the lava, which is how I got there. It seems faster, but at the beginning the lavas loose, but after a while it’s smooth and easy to walk on. Once I walked back on the dirt road, and it seemed to take forever, never did that again. Enjoy!
