I've been mixing records professionally for over 15 years. Gold certified. My own commercial studio. Atmos, stereo, the whole thing. This is not that. This is the first band I ever tracked and mixed — a metal band from Indiana called A Contradiction. Early 2000s. Mixed on Logitech Z4 speakers in a dorm room basement with cinder block walls, no interface, and probably pirated plugins. I hadn't listened to it since. Until now. Turns out it's not as bad as I feared.
