How to Create and Use Epics in Jira - Atlassian Jira Software Tutorial

#Epics are a little wonky in #Jira. There's an epic name, an epic link, an epic status. Atlassian does Epics ever so differently than your average agile guidebook. In this #tutorial, I'll show you how I create and use epics within the world of Jira. There are different ways of creating epics and some ways are easier than others. Epics help you organize and "bucketize" your work. Having a bunch of user stories in your backlog isn't very helpful if there is no method to the madness. Epics can be a very useful way to help tame all the different stories that are required to deliver a world class product. Epics are a critical component of the agile methodology and this video should help you get some direction on how to use Epics to organize your Jira issues.
