Deus responde o clamor por justiça e esperança | Isaías 64-66

In today's class, we will be surprised by a profound and moving prayer from the prophet, calling out to God to rend the heavens and descend, manifesting His power and mercy. Isaiah affirmed the sin and impurity of the people, confessing that they had all strayed like leaves carried away by the wind. Even so, he appealed to God's compassion, reminding us that the Lord is the Father and Potter, and Israel is the work of His hands. This chapter expresses both sadness and hope, showing that a true encounter with God is born of humility and the recognition of one's own weakness. Then, in chapters 65 and 66, we see that God answers Isaiah's prayer, revealing His plan of judgment and renewal. He announces that He will create "new heavens and a new earth," where there will be no more weeping or suffering. The book concludes with a grand vision of final restoration and universal inspiration to God. The great lesson of these chapters is that, despite justice for sin, God promises renewal and new life to those who remain faithful—a powerful reminder that the end of history belongs to the grace and glory of the Lord.
