February 28, 2023, is the darkest day of Sinan's life for Sanella F., Sinan's mother. She now has to come to terms with the incomprehensible crime and continue living without her child. Sinan sets off for school in the morning. He has an English exam coming up, for which he reportedly studied hard. But his 81-year-old neighbor, Guiseppe del B., is said to have suddenly ambushed him outside the door with a gun. Guiseppe del B. then allegedly shot Sinan several times – one of which hit the student in the head. He died in the hospital a day later. The incident was preceded by a bizarre neighborly dispute. It is said that there were repeated arguments between the family and 81-year-old Guiseppe del B. The pensioner repeatedly claimed to be woken up in the night by alarm clocks and loud noises – even though Sanella F. and her son were allegedly not making any noise. When Guiseppe del B.'s wife dies, the conflict escalates, and the pensioner complains more and more frequently. On that February morning, Guiseppe del B.'s patience apparently ran out. He allegedly ended the student's life. "For me, Sinan was number one; the most important thing was taken away from me," says Sinan's mother, Sanella F.. For her, one thing is clear: there will be no fair verdict – because her son Sinan will never return to her. On Wednesday, August 23, the trial of Sinan's alleged murderer, his neighbor Guiseppe del B., began.
