Antreprenorii întreabă și primesc… răspunsuri trăznite. Plata salariilor

From the series "entrepreneurs ask and receive crazy answers", a question related to the payment of salaries caught my attention. Here is the question that activated me: "If we don't have enough cash to pay all salaries, can we pay partially, depending on the receipts? I mean, should we pay salaries for about 3-4 days? Otherwise, we have to take them to the bank and then get them back. With commissions, of course." The answers received are diverse, the vast majority "YES, it is possible". However, a few people drew attention to respecting the payment deadline in the CIM but, what can you do, our entrepreneur takes care of the costs of bank commissions. Seriously?! My simple answer is: NO. It is not possible. Partial payment of salaries, without an explicit agreement, is illegal and unethical. The salary must be paid in full by the deadline established in the contract. If you delay or pay in installments, you risk losing your employees and, worse, you may receive sanctions from the ITM (Territorial Labor Inspectorate). Example: an employer who delayed the payment of salaries by a week received a significant fine from the ITM and the employees filed complaints that damaged the long-term employment relationship.
