6 Monate HÜ-Verbot – erste Erfahrungen aus Schulen | Schule im Gespräch #352

About six months ago, Education Minister Sven Teuber introduced a ban on unannounced homework checks in schools in Rhineland-Palatinate. In this episode of "School in Conversation," we take stock of the situation. Half a year after the decision—and after the first report cards were issued—we asked former guests of our program, teachers, students, parents, and colleagues from schools about their experiences. We received around 50 responses. These accounts are not representative, but they paint a multifaceted picture of everyday school life: How has teaching changed? What impact has the ban had on assessment, motivation, and preparation? And how are teachers and students experiencing the new situation? This episode brings together practical insights and provides an overview of current discussions surrounding performance evaluation and classroom culture.
