Scottish Landscape Painting: Blustery Sky Demo

http://scottnaismith.com FACEBOOK:   / 107776392866   This is a video demonstration of the creation of the 60 x 60cm absrtact landscape painting, 'Blustery Sky' by Glasgow based Scottish artist Scott Naismith. The first part shows the acrylic underpainting in (slightly edited) real time. The second part is the application of oil in one 45 minute session. This has been compressed in time lapse to around 6 minutes. The commentary in this part is about commercialism versus honesty. Here I talk about the importance of painting what you are passionate about rather than what sells. Honesty and passion IS what sells. You may make a fast buck here and there painting what you believe would sell, but you will make a career out of passion and honesty. The result of the recent twitter giveaway is shown.
