Is the performance gospel being diluted? The organization is striving to transform itself into a lifestyle brand. The Jehovah's Witnesses' understanding of salvation states that salvation and eternal life are not bestowed solely through God's grace and faith in Jesus Christ, but are also contingent upon strict obedience and unceasing "good works." This "performance gospel" is highly controversial among critics and in religious studies. Therefore, their religious life is strongly influenced by rituals and structured within their organization. Regular attendance at meetings, intensive preaching, and support for the organization's construction projects, built in Jehovah's name, are presented to them as expressions of love for their father, "Jehovah."
