【自閉症 就職】息子の就職活動！一般企業就職を可能にするために選択してきたこと

This book discusses the choices we made at each milestone over the past 12 years and the reasons behind them, in order to make that goal possible. My son is a young man (34 years old as of 2022) with autism and intellectual disability, and has a disability certificate (Category B). He was diagnosed with autism at the age of 5. A developmental assessment by a psychiatrist at the age of 20 indicated his developmental age was around 10 years old. While there were limits to his language comprehension despite repeated teaching, he has still grown in a positive way, and he has been working as a full-time employee at a local general company for 16 years. For nine years, since my son was in first grade of elementary school, I have been involved in his therapy while receiving mother education at the Tomoni Therapy Center. I will be sharing the home-based therapy I have undertaken, imagining what kind of adult I want him to become and what he will be like as an adult, with that goal in mind.
