In other words, what you see on social media is just a part of a person without context. ⸻ Here's the difference between "feeling like you know" and "knowing" something. Discovering a new side of someone is partially true. However, in the context of online stalking, the difference lies in the following: • Collecting a large number of points (posts/comments) • Connecting the points into a single line, or a personality profile • Furthermore, completing the profile before building a relationship. In other words, it actually goes like this: I know ❌ / I thought I understood ⭕ From the person's perspective, I think it's unpleasant to be "completed" as "this person is like this" even though there's no explanation, no shared context, and no relationship. ⸻ The strangeness of character-building/activity accounts "Everything comes from that person = that person" This is logically correct, but psychologically, "everything is that person" ≠ any one aspect is "their true essence." To the person, It's "a side they use in specific situations," not "the whole picture." When that is fixed as their true essence, I think it can feel like a loss of control. ⸻ The essence of discomfort is not "being seen" but "being given meaning." In many cases, the core of anger is not "being seen in a way I didn't want to show," but "being treated as my true self." Why is it so unpleasant? 1. Effort is misinterpreted as personality (the "adaptation" you create is treated as your "true self") 2. You lose your escape route (you lose your right to step down from your role) 3.
