Spotlight on LGBTQIA+ and Dementia - SPIN-D Network Plus Event

SPIN-Dementia Network, DETERMIND, Innovations in Dementia, and Together in Dementia Everyday (tide), facilitated an in-person day to explore connections between LGBTQIA+ and Dementia. The event focused on brain health and addressing inequities. We welcomed people with all levels of knowledge and interests, to share perspectives and experiences and to learn. This included researchers, funders, people with dementia and carers, coordinators, managers, and providers. Participants gained knowledge about research and practice gaps, lived experiences, connections, impact, and resources. There were opportunities to build networks and collaborations, and to understand what actions can be taken.
