Join Jules on his visit to Hafod Garregog – a Celtic rainforest and reclaimed seabed along Afon Glaslyn (River Glaslyn). National Trust rangers have planted native saplings here to store carbon, slow the flow of water and provide a boost for nature and wildlife. Jules discovers that local tree species such as willow, aspen and hornbeam are less susceptible to diseases and can adapt better to the climate. These trees will also create homes for warblers, moths, bats and nearby otters, as well as encourage a diverse variety of plants to grow. You’ll also discover how the National Trust works with volunteers to plant trees and find out more about the charity’s wider ambition to plant and establish 20 million trees by 2030. With your help we can continue to plant trees and look after woodlands. Donate today to plant a tree that will support life for years to come. Link to: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/supp... Ymunwch â Jules ar ei ymweliad â Hafod Garegog - coedwig law Geltaidd a gwely môr adferedig ar hyd Afon Glaslyn. Mae rhai o geidwaid yr Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol wedi plannu coed ifanc brodorol yma i storio carbon, arafu llif y dŵr a rhoi hwb i natur a bywyd gwyllt. Mae Jules yn dysgu bod rhywogaethau coed lleol, megis helygen, aethnen ac oestrwydden yn llai agored i glefydau ac yn gallu addasu'n well i'r hinsawdd. Bydd y coed hefyd yn creu cartrefi i deloriaid, gwyfynod, ystlumod a dyfrgwn gerllaw, yn ogystal ag annog amrywiaeth eang o blanhigion i dyfu. Byddwch hefyd yn dysgu am y ffordd mae'r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yn gweithio gyda gwirfoddolwyr i blannu coed, ac yn cael gwybod mwy am uchelgais ehangach yr elusen i blannu a sefydlu 20 miliwn o goed erbyn 2030. Gyda'ch help chi, gallwn barhau i blannu coed a gofalu am goetiroedd. Cyfrannwch heddiw er mwyn plannu coeden a fydd yn cynnal bywyd am flynyddoedd i ddod.
