Big Southern Butte, Exploring Idaho's, Can am X3 Max.

The butte is one of the largest volcanic domes in the world and at 300,000 years old is also one of the youngest. The area supports lodgepole pine, aspen, Douglas fir, and manzanita. Mid-May through October, depending on snow levels and road conditions is the best time of year to visit the butte. The road is open to full-sized vehicles, but it is best traveled by ATV or UTV.
