"Khalaan" is the story of every farmer in the country, whether poor or capable. They are often targeted by land mafias and land traders. The director, understanding the plight of farmers since the formation of the new state of Chhattisgarh, made this experimental film. It tells the story of three brothers, whose duty it is to manage the farms and farming alongside their father. An outsider land mafia sets its sights on all the land in the village, and he succeeds. The film depicts family, values, brotherhood, and the loving celebration of festivals. It also conveys a message against alcohol and drug abuse. It also attempts to draw attention to the threat of future climate change. The film's purpose was not at all commercial. It won the Chollywood Award for Best Musical Film, and the late Ashish Sendre won the Best Actor Award. With this film, "Mor Chhainha Bhuinha" superstar Shekhar Soni (Tirlochan) made his acting comeback. He has now become a seasoned director and writer. He is also constantly working.
