The survey was conducted in Kazakh. You won't believe it, but when asked who Mukhtar Shakhanov was, not one of the more than a dozen people interviewed could answer. At all! How can this be explained? Recently, a small sculpture appeared on Pushkin Street in Almaty: Pushkin on a bench. We have many such small sculptures in our city.
