Buddhism was taught by the Buddha, who was active in India approximately 2,600 years ago. However, in today's India, Hinduism accounts for over 80% of the population, followed by Islam and Christianity, but Buddhism accounts for only 0.7% of the total population. If Buddhism is truly a wonderful teaching, it should have spread to a much larger audience. So why has it declined? I'll explain the reasons in three parts.
