Cathode Rays - Crystal Clocks
Based around the Exmoor village of Parracombe, Cathode Rays was formed in 1982 by singer songwriter Cath Haynes. The initial band was; John Simmons (guitar) Steve Judevine (bass guitar) Tony Thorne (keyboards) John Buttle (drums) Geoff Shaw ( tenor sax) The line-up remained unchanged apart from various bass players, such as Phil Deakin and the late Giles Issac. The recording of 'Crystal Clocks' and 'Poison In your Heart' took place at Roche Studio, Cornwall. All other songs were recorded at Geoff Hocking's Studio in North Devon. All songs written and sung by Cath Haynes. Although the band was Cath's concept, all the musicians made their own unique contributions. Geoff Shaw - 2026
