He completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1996 and his specialist training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1996 and 2002. He worked in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine between 2002 and 2009. He has been working in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine since 2009. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2011. Dr. Nasır, who became a Professor in 2019, continues to serve as a faculty member in this position. Between 2006 and 2008, he worked on composite tissue transplants at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, alongside Dr. Siemionow, who performed the first face transplant in the United States and the second in the world. In 2012, he accomplished the second full face transplant in Turkey, the third in the world, and the 22nd in total. Simultaneously with this face transplant, the world's first four-limb transplant was performed at Hacettepe University by a large team he chaired. He won second place awards in the experimental and clinical specialist competitions at the 31st and 32nd National Congresses of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in hand surgery.
