Trains (and the occasional bird) at Hartlepool station on a Sunday afternoon. Northern provides services to Carlisle, Hexham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Nunthorpe, as well as two trains per week to Darlington. Hartlepool is also on the route which is ran by Grand Central - between Sunderland and London Kings Cross.
