Gunlock - (Arcade Long play) (1994)

VER 2.30. Gunlock (released in Europe) is a classic 1994 vertical scrolling shoot 'em up by Taito. Also known as RayForce or Galactic Attack in North America, it revolutionised the genre with its "two attack layer" system. Before trademarking the title, Nakamura and the others requested all three Taito arcade departments to come up with alternative names for the game; Gunlock and RayForce were chosen, the latter becoming the official title. The game was officially released in Japan in February 1994, and in North America and Europe later that year.
