JK shows how to prepare oil cups after cleaning and what lubrication products he uses in which scenarios. No narrating, just the sound of tools. TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Intro 00:10 Lubrication essentials • Cleanliness has top priority • Keep oil cup lids closed when not in use • Change out lubricants regularly, ideally weekly • Check the expiration date of lubricants, it'll effect performance • Use the technical guide of a movement whenever possible • Without technical guide: • High speed, low torque: low viscose oil • Low speed, high torque: high viscose oil • Metal on metal interaction: grease • DO NOT LUBRICATE THE PALLET FORK PIVOTS, EVER! 00:43 High speed, low torque parts: Moebius 9010 03:00 Low speed, high torque parts: Moebius 9104 (HP1300) or Moebius 9103 (HP1000) 05:13 Pallet fork jewels: Moebius 9415 or Moebius 941 (up to 21600 vph) 07:05 Metal on metal interaction in setting systems and other high friction areas: Molykote DX 08:41 Mainsprings after cleaning: Moebius 8300.
