How to turn off automatic updates in Windows 10 permanently

Windows updates are important, but sometimes they happen at inconvenient times. Windows 10 makes it possible to pause or disable automatic updates, giving you more control over when the updates occur. If you're using Windows 10 Home, you are only able to pause updates for up to 35 days. If you're using Windows 10 Pro, you are given the option to permanently disable automatic updates by editing your group policy.
